Many area courses pride themselves with their large play of women and junior golfers. With a new sponsor and a new name for the world’s largest amateur golf tournament – PGA Tour Superstore World Amateur Handicap Championship draws over 5,000 golfers competing for $400,000 in prizes and the title of “World Champion.” Played on 75 championship golf courses in Myrtle Beach this annual event is the Grand Strand’s largest golfing event of the year! Myrtle Beach is also home to the Hootie and the Blowfish Monday After the Masters Pro-Am. PGA tournaments, golf courses for all abilities and plenty of sunshine …welcome to golfers paradise.
Open year round. Peak seasons spring and fall. Fees vary according to season and time of day, but peak season morning round fees run from under $30 to $250. Non-metal spikes and carts are required on most courses. All courses require appropriate golf attire.
